Baby Paige strikes a pose!

Today I had Ms. Paige for her 6 month pictures. She has been coming to see me since she was in her Mommy's belly and it has been so fun watching her change over the months. I can't believe how well she is sitting up on her own now and I know it won't be long before she is on the move. I got to try out my new flower petal background and what a pretty baby to have to do so. Just a few minutes into the session, she started really getting into it, loving the attention with the camera. Serious model material here! I really enjoyed today's session, so fun and relaxed! Here are some of my favorites...

Pretty in Purple. Paige sat in this rocker and went to town rocking. She knew exactly what to do and it didn't scare her a bit. If you could have just seen her throwing her head down, rocking. Hilarious!

Out with the Old!

For most people, the New Year brings a time to start fresh. Start anew. With January sessions already off to a great start, I think it's time to make room for new sessions and clean up my hard drive! Out with the old, in with the New! I will be archiving all my images from PORTRAIT sessions prior to December 2008. Archiving means I will be removing them from my computer and filing them away. During this process, I am offering all my clients the opportunity to purchase your images from sessions, on a disk (high resolution 'negatives'-this is what I print from) with reprint rights. All proofs from the session will be on the disk. And this means you will have access to your images forever and will be able to reprint anywhere you choose or use them to share with friends and family online! The disk, with reprint rights, will be available for $100. If you had more than one session with me, each additional disk from each additional session will be $50. This disk is only available if you placed a portrait order with the session. If you did not make an initial order, you won't be eligible for this. Also, this is valid for Portrait sessions only, not Weddings...sorry! I'll be offering this for a limited time, so if you are interested, please let me know before February 28, 2009. I just want to thank all of you guys that have come to me to help you share something special in your lives. Whether it be a new baby snuggled up in Mommy's arms, a toddler taking his first steps, or a couple just starting their lives together, I love being a part of it. Welcome to my BLOG!

Thanks for checking out my new blog! This is my first time blogging, so please forgive me if I ramble! My hope for this blog is to keep my clients and potential clients informed on things going on with Dana Cochran Photography. Here, I can share recent session favorites and current promotions or specials. This will also be one of my many New Year's Resolutions! Keep this blog up to date for all you interested! I'm always thinking of new things and new offers to keep things fresh and fun. So, this blog will be my home for sharing these ideas and thoughts. So please, feel free to comment and give your input on anything I post. So, let's get started...

As many of my current clients can see, I have been redoing the website. I was actually in the process of switching over my computers, from a laptop to a desktop. Thought it would be easy enough to do, but the website did not want to cooperate. Thus, a new one has been created. There are some pages I am still working on getting back up, but I am definitely getting it back together. I have added a couple new things, one being this new blog and another is a small online ordering area on your gallery page. This is a new thing that I wanted to try out to see if it was easier for some clients to use in the ordering process... So far, so good. I have had quite a few orders come through already and there seem to be no issues with it. I have an info page on the website that can walk you through, but it seems to be pretty easy. This is one way that anyone can order at anytime and all the orders come automatically to me.

In the days coming up, I will be posting some new and exciting offers. Please keep checking back for those! Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I will have a Valentine's Special going on too. Also, I already have a few new things in the works for portraits, so I'm looking forward to sharing those. This is Mr.Pacey...he came all the way from the East Coast of NC to see me! Isn't he a cutie? I can't wait to see how much he has changed when he comes back to see me in February!He liked holding his hands together...so sweet.

This is Mr. Owen. He loves Trains! Lucky for him, so does my Hunter. I had lots of tracks on hand...Owen was a sweetie and his parents were great!
